Potatoe pancakes


1 lbs / 500 g potatoes
1 tsp salt
3 cloves of garlic
1 egg
2 tsp majoram (or oregano)
2 tbsp flour
oil for frying

Peel potatoes and finely grate them. You can frate one coarsely to create nice structure in the pancakes.

Salt the potatoes, mix and let sit so they sweat. Dont be affraid of the amount of salt, potatoes can handle it. Drain the water.

Add all the other ingrediences and mix thorougly.

Heat the oil in the frying pan to middle high. Firm couple of smaller thin pancakes or one large and fry on both sides for about 3-4 minutes till they are golden brow colour.

Potatoe pancakes can be served as a main dish, as a side to beef goulas, together with smoked meat and sour cabbage.
